Kootenay Lake Aviation has been offering flight training, sightseeing tours, and air charters out of the Nelson Airport since 2010. Owner and Chief Flight Instructor Thierry Noblet has logged over 11,000 hours of safe flying over his 38 years as a pilot at the controls of many aircraft – from international charters on the King Air B100, to scheduled airline service, charter flights and aerial surveys across Canada. Thierry’s breadth of flying experience, combined with his vast knowledge of the Kootenays allows him to provide a safe experience and a high standard of instruction in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Thierry founded Kootenay Lake Aviation in 2010 after flying throughout Canada. He started flying in 1982 and has logged over 11,000 hours, and enjoys spending time in the air.

Mia can often be found flying high, usually on 1inch webbing strung between 2 peaks. She also coordinates social media for KLA
